Laflèche began his career as a stop-motion artist, which led him to experiment with animation software development for over nine years at SOFTIMAGE. During this time, exposure to the movie business led him to try his hand with special effects and for the next 12 years, he worked as a Computer Graphics Supervisor at Quebec-based visual effects studio Hybride, a Ubisoft® division. Some of his notable work during this time included assignments on over 30 movies including Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Avatar and The Hunger Games. Today, he joyfully writes fables for young children.
